6th annual Texas Tag Team
CrossCreek Cycle Park is proud to announce our 6th annual Tag Team Race sponsored by Rockstar, Kent Powersports, TJ's Cycle, TexasPhotoCross and 5 Magics Motocross School happening Sunday December 6th 2009.
It's that time of year folks and Tag Team 2009 is just around the corner. This always popular event should be on everyone's don't miss list. So find yourself a partner and start scheming your battle plan for victory now.
Rules, schedule, general info and some changes from past events are outlined below:
The course this year will be a mix of 4 newly redesigned and prepped motocross tracks combined with off-road sections winding through woods, grass track, creek crossings, and some newly cut trails. As always the course will be well suited for everyone and will be safe yet fun no matter the skill level or bike size.
PRACTICE SCHEDULE:
Saturday December 5th:
Motocross only Practice from 9am till 2pm. Entire race course opens at 2pm for practice organized by class till 5pm. Regular practice fees apply.
RACE SCHEDULE:
Sunday December 6th
8:30am Parade lap
9am-1pm Pro, Open A, Open B, Ironman, over 30 A/B over 40 A/B
1pm-1:15 Parade lap for kids
1:15-2:00 Kids 50 open, 50 ironman, 65 open and 65 ironman. Kids race on MX tracks only.
2:00-2:15 parade lap
2:30pm-4:30pm Open C, Open D ,Women,85cc open ,Over 30 C, Over 40 C ,Ironman and Family class
RULES:
• Teams must consist of 2 riders using your choice of 1 or 2 bikes.
• Riders of different skill level may team up, but must register in the class of the faster rider.
• All teams must tag in the pit area only.
• Kids teams must trade off every lap.
• 5mph in pit area
• Gas in the pit lane only
• No smoking in the pit lane
• *New this year* Anyone caught cutting the course or making "new lines" during the race may be shot by the Secret Service Paintball Course Marshall's that will be out hunting for "creative line finders" or as we call them, cheaters. If you come back to the score tower wearing paint your team will have a 1 lap penalty assessed.
• Trophies for the kids and Medals for 1-3 in all other classes
• Wrist bands must be worn at all times while in the park.
GENERAL INFO:
• Gates open Friday noon till midnight. Saturday & Sunday 7am till midnight.
• Camping: $10.00 per vehicle per night.
• Safe camp fires are welcome. We will have firewood for sale or bring your own.
• Lights out quiet time at 11pm.
• Pit vehicles are welcome.
• Gate fee (non racer): $10.00 per person (5 and under free)
• Cost: $40.00 per rider or $80.00 per team.
To avoid confusion with the difference in MX vs. Off-road class structure please use the guide below.
MX class = Tag team class
Expert = A or pro
Intermediate = A
Novice = B
Beginner = C
“D” is first time racer class. You can only race D if doing so in a current off road series or this is your first ever event.
There will be a raffle Saturday night at 6:30 for items donated by event sponsors. Everyone entering the property will be given a raffle ticket at the front gate. Please thank our generous sponsors and support those that support you.
Everyone will be required to wear a wrist band without exception. Riders will be identified by a different color of wrist band than spectators.
